The Tucson Festival of Books will be held on Saturday, March 15, and Sunday, March 16, 2014 on the beautiful University of Arizona campus in Tucson, Arizona. The Festival enters its sixth year as the fourth largest literary event in the country attracting over 400 authors and more than 120,000 participants during the weekend. All proceeds from the Festival are donated to local non-profit organizations that support improved literacy in Southern Arizona.
We are currently accepting book submittals for authors
to participate on panels or as workshop leaders
during the 2014 Tucson Festival of Books.
We welcome submissions from diverse genre that appeal to wide audiences. The Tucson Festival of Books seeks to promote book sales; therefore, priority is given to those titles that are:
- published by well-established publishing houses with which bookstores would have existing relationships (self-published or print-on-demand works, e-book formats and textbook materials do not qualify for presenting author consideration)*
- readily available for purchase (books must be published between July 31, 2012 and January 31, 2014)*
Authors wishing to participate in the Festival are eligible for consideration by completing this electronic
nomination form. Authors eligible for consideration will be reviewed by committee (instructions for submitting books for review will be provided to qualified authors via email).
Please be aware that the Tucson Festival of Books does not pay speaker fees nor honoraria to authors participating in the event.
* Authors who are self-published, write strictly in e-book formats or have older titles, are encouraged to complete information found
here. Submitting this information ensures that you will be invited to The Author Pavilion which provides a two-hour block of time in a shared space (up to ten authors per tent) where authors may interact with the public, sell books and autograph their publications. Invitations to register for the Author Pavilion will be emailed by mid-December.
