UA BookStores: a vital part of the Festival
Festival Staff / February 13, 2012
The University of Arizona BookStores, a founding sponsor and vital partner of the Tucson Festival of Books, shares this overview of the Festival and some of its related events:
The Tucson Festival of Books is easily one of the top book festivals in the U.S., attracting the interests of book lovers from across Southern Arizona and the nation. Hosted on The University of Arizona campus, the Festival is free and open to the public, providing a wide array of educational and book-related events, including author signings and presentations, writing workshops, vendor booths, food and refreshments from Tucson-area eateries, and more.
Children's Area & Events
Keep your eyes peeled in the Children's Area at the Festival for information about upcoming children's events around campus, special activities, and possibly a visit from some of your favorite storybook characters! Also, don't forget to register early for this year's children's events (not an official Festival event; admission charge applies):

UA BookStores' involvement in Tucson Festival of Books
The University of Arizona BookStores is proud to have been able to partner with the Tucson Festival of Books from its inception to create such an exciting and diverse array of event offerings for the Tucson and Southern Arizona communities. UA BookStores staff members continue to serve roles on the Founders Committee (Associate Vice President of Student Affairs, Frank Farias), the TFOB Author Selection Committee, the TFOB Marketing Committee, and in other ways.
UA BookStores brings unique value to the Festival with special author signings, presentations, children's events, and by hosting a venue for prominent author presentations and panel discussions.
Benefitting UA Through Book Sales
Be on the lookout for our book tents on the UA mall over the TFOB weekend and be sure to visit our location in the Student Union. For details about how UA BookStores contributes to the Tucson and campus communities, visit uabookstores.arizona.edu/wedomore.
eReader Tent
UA BookStores partners with Barnes & Noble to provide a comparative look at eReaders and eBooks, and the consumer migration towards digital content consumption. This topic is especially relevant in higher education as educators and students embrace the benefits of research, communication and interactive learning that eTextbooks will soon provide.
