The sequel to a best-seller
The second annual Tucson Festival of Books March 13-14 on the campus of the University of Arizona promises to be an even bigger blockbuster than the original. Some 400 authors have signed up for the 2-day festival of lectures, workshops and panel discussions. Nearly 150 exhibitors are set to showcase their book- and education-related goods and services in the Festival's main concourse. And there are more activities and presentations for children than ever - including a literary circus.
This year's lineup of authors reads like the New York Times best-seller list. It includes returning favorites J.A. Jance and Elmore Leonard and a raft of literary lions, including:
- Larry McMurtry
- Luis Alberto Urrea
- Alice Hoffman
- Paul Theroux
- Phillip Margolin
- General Anthony Zinni
- Chris Reich
- Curtis Sittenfeld
- Jon Scieska
- Diana Ossana
- David Morrell
- Phil Caputo
- Michael Gelb
- Jamie Ford
National Public Radio host Scott Simon, who is part of the Saturday lineup, will also host the Festival's Authors Table event Friday evening, March 12.
